Time for a discussion
It has been suggested that our district needs an on-going discussion about the nature of proposed collaboration time models. Our meeting time is short. Perhaps our enthusiasm for or concerns about the PLC models can have a hearing here. From the MLEA leadership, we have the following perspective. Teacher collaboration is good. Creating sharing opportunities for teachers may be great. The question is how, and of course, the content of the sharing sessions. If you have an opinion about proposed collaboration time, please share. Your thoughts may be about the way another district does it; how it can help kids; how it impacts teachers; how schedule changes may impact our community; etc.
